Although everyone was expecting the release of the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update (also known as Redstone 4 or version 1803) on April 10, the company decided to delay the release of the new operating system.
At the moment, we don't know more, as Microsoft itself never confirmed April 10 as the release date of Spring Creators, but many who know what's going on internally at the company report that there will be a delay in the release of the new OS.
Microsoft, for its part, released the first cumulative update for Spring Creators on April 10 (for Insiders), fixing a bunch of bugs and addressing security flaws that were present in other versions of Windows 10.
This cumulative update may bring us one step closer to the upcoming public release of Spring Creators, although it is currently unclear when it will happen.
It will likely take a few days before the public rollout begins, but it would be very interesting to know why Microsoft delayed the release of the new update.
If this is a last-minute glitch, it should make us all wonder what the company is serving us, although everything seems to be working smoothly for Insiders.
Sources within the company who spoke to Windows Central said that Microsoft found a “blocking bug” last weekend, which will need to be fixed before the official release of the operating system begins.
The new operating system version will be released to the public in waves, which means that systems will be updated gradually.
Microsoft itself is expected to provide more information about the development of the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update very soon, as the first wave of updates should be available by the end of the month.
