Android 10: Comes to fix 193 security vulnerabilities!

Google seems to have made drastic changes . Specifically, these changes concern the new version of the Android operating system, which will now be called Android Q, Android 10. According to a company spokesperson, this was a change that had to be made, among other things, to fix some security flaws in Android .

Android 10

Specifically, 193 vulnerabilities that need to be fixed were reported in the Android Open Source Project(AOSP) on August 20. The majority of the flaws, however, are distributed between the Android media framework and the Android system and are rated as moderate in severity. With the new Android 10 update, everything that needs fixing will be fixed. The good news is that there are no reports of misuse of customer personal data.

The good news for fans of the company continues. More specifically, with the release of Android 10, nearly 50 new features and changes related to security and privacy will be implemented.

The main changes include “scoped storage” which gives users more control over their files. Users will also have additional control over when apps can use their device’s location, whether that’s when the app or always.

Additionally, Android 10 will limit background activity to reduce annoyances as much as possible and achieve better control over what is displayed on the screen.

There are also changes to how apps access the camera. Also, with the introduction of Android 10, apps will no longer be able to turn Wi-Fi on or off, but will instead use a settings panel to prompt the user to do so. Additionally, to protect user privacy, manual configuration of the Wi-Fi is now limited to system apps and policy-controlled devices.

In reality, Android 10 will bring an evolution in security. Part of the platform will also be the Adiantum encryption system. This is good, as Google will require encryption of all new devices running the latest Android operating system, including Internet-of-Things devices, using either the built-in AES option or Adiantum, which has sufficient performance to run on an ARM processor.

Of course, the changes will be many and will also concern security updates. Important elements of the operating system will be updated in the background, in the same way that applications, so you can receive your security updates without having to restart the device!
