in April , which promises to bring exciting features and software fixes. One of the most important features is the addition of eye detection in Servo AF mode for stills shooting and in movie mode regardless of Movie Servo AF settings. This information was made known by Canon itself, specifically on its official website in Asia.
Also, Servo AF will be able to be used for still images when the AF frame size is set to “Small.” The same applies to videos.
In addition to the above addition, Canon, with the new version 1.2.0, is trying to address the following three problems:
- Under certain conditions, the content displayed in the electronic viewfinder does not rotate correctly.
- Under certain conditions the electronic level is not displayed correctly in the electronic viewfinder.
- Under certain circumstances, the firmware for the WFT-E7 wireless file transmitter could not be updated.
These features and fixes have been announced for now. We'll just have to wait until mid-April to see the new firmware version.
