Chrome 73 was released mid-month and brought some interesting additions .
Google Drive offline sync
Chrome OS 73 now lets you access folders in Google Drive while you're offline. Chromebooks are considered "online machines." As a result, they lack key offline features found on other operating systems.
With the new feature, you will be able to sync folders marked for offline access with your Chromebook's local storage.
If you want to implement it, all you have to do is go to Google Drive, right-click on any folder in File Manager and click the "Available offline" option.
Audio Focus in Android apps
The new update brings an additional feature, audio focus. According to this, starting media playback in an Android will stop audio playback in Chrome and vice versa. This will apply to Chromebooks running Android 9.0 Pie.
Other features
Chrome OS 73 includes many other features, including the following: file/folder sharing with Linux apps between developers, demo mode, where you can change language, video playback, audio focus in CrOS, more efficient Chrome OS out-of-memory management, notifications about the upcoming removal of remaining Chrome Supervised Users, control of audio/video playback on the internet with keyboard media keys, security features, and more.
