The mediocre campaign released for Crackdown 3, combined with the poor Multiplayer, certainly does not predispose the user to engage much with the game.
And because Crackdown 3's features are so diverse (and multiplayer wasn't given access earlier), each one was reviewed separately. You can find the individual reviews below.
The final, full conclusion and score that results from the review covers the entire game, but it's not the average of the two. While Wrecking Zone multiplayer is bad, it's a very small part of the overall package, so its presence doesn't weigh too heavily on Crackdown 3.
"In theory, the campaign for Crackdown 3 has all the hallmarks that made the original an enjoyable game, but after a few hours it becomes repetitive and boring. The minute-by-minute combat is uninteresting aside from a couple of boss fights, and while there's a compulsive satisfaction in getting through its numerous activities, it doesn't offer much else.".
While Crackdown 3: Wrecking Zone's environmental destruction is impressive, it misses every opportunity to use it in interesting ways to enhance the otherwise uninteresting multiplayer combat, where the goal is everything, but it's completely automated. You can see everything Wrecking Zone has to offer in about 30 minutes, minus the time you'll spend matchmaking after each round. Unless a lot of changes are made, Wrecking Zone isn't worth the time it takes.”
