Microsoft recently introduced the second-generation Surface Laptop and, as with the Surface Pro 6, the device's hardware is what catches our attention
In other words, you won't find any substantial changes in design and appearance, but you will definitely be impressed by the powerful hardware that is going to significantly improve performance.
The Surface Laptop 2 will also be available in a black version, in addition to the existing Platinum, Burgundy, and Blue Cobalt colors.
For information, the black alternative version that we also find on the Surface Pro 6 was first used on the Surface RT released in October 2012, but Microsoft replaced it with the silver color in later Surface models.

The Surface Laptop 2 is available with 8th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. Both versions are paired with Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Microsoft's new laptop comes with 8GB or 16GB of RAM and storage up to 1TB.
The Surface Laptop 2, unfortunately, doesn't come with USB-C, and the connectivity options are the same as the older model, meaning you get one USB 3.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Mini DisplayPort, and a Surface Connect port.
The interesting thing about the case is that Microsoft's new model is powered by Windows 10 Home unlike the original model which ran Windows 10 S.
The Intel Core i5 model paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will retail for $999, while the Intel Core i7 model paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage will retail for $2,699.
