About a month ago, Google released the second public beta for Android P , and now it's launched the third. Starting yesterday, Android P Beta 3 is now available for developers and anyone else who's willing to try out the latest version.
Dave Burke, vice president of Engineering at Google, said that Developer Preview 4 is supposed to have the "nearly final" look of the latest version of the operating system that is expected to be released later this summer.
Android P Beta 3 offers stability optimizations, latest bug fixes, July 2018 security updates, along with other features such as a manual dark theme switch, new icons, and additional animations.
This approach to the upcoming operating system is crucial for developers, as the system behaviors and APIs are almost complete. So now they can start building and testing their applications for the new software.
System tools, such as multi-camera support, improved notifications, ImageDecoder, TextClassifier, and more, are now available for developers.
In case you're a developer or just want to try out the new operating system, you can get Android P Beta 3 via Google. If you're already running the second beta on a Pixel device, you'll automatically receive the update.
