As it turns out, build 16299 is the RTM version of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Build 16299 was released by Microsoft to both the Fast and Slow Ring for Insiders, and this could be a very strong indication that Windows 10 build 16299 is the RTM.
The official announcement of the upcoming Windows 10 Fall Creators Update should normally take place in October 2017, that is, this month. Yesterday, a new cumulative update KB4046355 for Windows 10 Build 16299 increased the version number of the operating system to 16299.15.
Thus, what we can expect is to see the Windοws 10 build 16299 in the Preview Ring and then in the channel also for distribution.
Also, it is very likely that the operating system will receive more cumulative updates to fix secondary issues uncovered by the latest tests.
