The iPhone 8 will have a virtual home button

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is very good at spotting predictions and leaks about unreleased Apple products, says that the 2017 iPhone lineup will indeed include 3 different models, one of which will come with an OLED display.

First of all, the OLED iPhone is likely the iPhone 8 that we've seen in so many leaks, which is expected to come with a sensor bar at the top of the screen. Ming-Chi Kuo specifically says that this model will come with a "full-screen design" and will have the highest screen to body ratio of any smartphone on the market today.

Most surprisingly, however, this iPhone model will come with a virtual home button built into the screen, but without fingerprint recognition. This means that the fingerprint sensor will not be integrated into the screen, so Apple is either planning to move it somewhere else or remove it altogether.

The iPhone 8 is expected to come in fewer color options than the other two models in the series, and there's a good chance Apple will stick with black. This would make the top sensor row less noticeable when the screen is off, thanks to a completely black bezel.

As for the other two models, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, they will feature 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens respectively, and a design similar to the models currently on the market. The smaller iPhone 7s will have 2GB of RAM ,while the 7s Plus will have 3GB due to the increased processing power required by the dual-camera system.

It is very likely that the storage sizes of the new iPhones will be 64GB and 256GB, although there is a possibility that Apple will also offer a mid-range option of 128GB.

Last but not least, the new iPhones will be announced in September, but the OLED is likely to face a slight delay, with sales expected to begin next month.
