Xiaomi has just unveiled the new Mi Max 2 , which comes with some very powerful specs at a fairly affordable price. The phablet is made entirely of metal and features a single-lens camera on the back.
Let's start with the basics - the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a fairly similar design to its predecessor. On the new device we will find a fingerprint scanner on the back, on the right side all the physical buttons and on the left the SIM card tray. The same buttons that we found under the screen of the Xiaomi Mi Max 1, we will also find on the upcoming phablet.
Apart from the LED flash located to the left of the rear camera, there are no other differences between the two versions. The screen size remains the same at 6.44 inches, as does the screen resolution, which reaches 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Inside the device, the RAM capacity is 4GB with two internal memory options, either 64GB or 128GB. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with an Adreno 506 graphics processing unit.
The battery capacity has been increased to 5,300mAh and now offers fast charging via Qualcomm's QuickCare 3.0. The rear camera has 12MP Sony IMX386 sensors while the secondary one is 5MP. It should be noted that an IR blaster is placed on the top of the phone and it runs on Android Nougat with MIUI 8. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also offers stereo speakers.
Regarding pricing, the 64GB variant sells for $247 while the 128GB variant sells for $291. The phone will be available from June 1.
