For the first time in the last three years, Bitcoin exceeded $1,000.

The last time it was at these heights was in December 2013. The currency launched in early 2016 at a rate of around $450 per Bitcoin, and as a result saw a 125% increase in value within a year.
Despite the fact that Bitcoin has not reached the record of $1,216.7 that it previously held, today it is at its highest capitalization price, which in total is estimated at $16,399,607,673.
For those who have Bitcoins in their wallets, this news is obviously a New Year's gift. Experts involved in the Bitcoin market are optimistic about its future course, stating that by the end of the year its price could be anywhere between $1,400 and $3,000. Of course, all of this is speculation and everything depends on both the market and its security on the internet, since a possible hack in its circulation services could cause a huge blow to its price.
The current growth is likely driven by China, where Bitcoin has seen a surge in demand following a 7% annual decline in the value of the yuan in 2016.
