Few things define the holidays like the responsive sound of a newly acquired drone as it flies away, over branches and out of sight, where it will eventually crash into a tree and crash to the ground!
Many people have given and received drones this holiday season. Many of those people have also watched their gifts – within minutes – turn into a mass of debris. Drones are tricky to operate, but at least we can have some fun with how brilliantly annoying they can be as a holiday gift!
Many people, for example, tried to destroy their Christmas tree with their new toys and declared it with a tweet:
-Merry Christmas, my 7-year-old nephew got a drone and immediately threw it at the tree!
-My brother got a drone for Christmas and mom threw it on our Christmas tree!
Others have more general goals and threw them at any tree out there:
-Dad crashed Julia's drone into the neighbor's tree and broke it on its first flight. Merry Christmas!
-*You get a remote-controlled airplane for Christmas* What's the first thing your dad does? He throws it into a tree!
Others said, who needs a tree when there are so many hairs on a head?
-When your boyfriend gets a drone and sticks it in your hair for Christmas!
And then there are those who don't so much crash their drones as find ways to make them disappear:
-I got a drone for Christmas. I let my dad play with it. My dad threw it too high and lost it. Now, I don't have a drone anymore!
-My brother took a drone and flew it so far that he lost it!
-I bought a drone. It flew exactly twice before it got lost. I've never seen $100 fly faster outside of Vegas!
So before you decide to keep that drone you found in your backyard or at the park or on your roof or in the street, check Twitter. It might be someone's!
