As promised, we are back with part two on tips on how to avoid being stalked on Social Media.
Instagram Stalkers:
Instagram is another way for those who want to see lots of photos of you and what you're up to in life .
Depending on your Instagram privacy settings, you could have thousands of stalker 'followers' keeping an eye on you. Consider reviewing and cleaning up your follower list to remove the stalkers. Once you've done a good cleanup, it might be time to make a big change to your Instagram account: turning on "Private Mode.".
Instagram has two different types of Private Mode that you can adopt. You can let everyone follow you in 'Public mode', or you can be more selective about who can see your posts by using Private Mode and limiting their visibility.
Twitter Stalkers:
Twitter, however , has some privacy issues by its very nature of being so open. Followers can see your public tweets and start following you (if your privacy settings allow it). It is very important to disable the Tweet Location feature, so that your location is not displayed when you post a tweet.
Online Dating Stalkers:
Online dating can open the door to all kinds of potential stalkers. You are essentially putting yourself out there and letting all kinds of people find out information about you. Keep the information on your dating profile as general as possible. Don't put any specific information like the company you work for or the school you go to because it is really dangerous. You should also remove geotags from all your photos because it can help someone track you down. And finally, we recommend having a different email address that you use for your online dates.
By following some of these tips you will stop feeling those eyes on you or maybe not..
