Opera Software has just released the new stable version of Opera 41, the popular cross-platform browser for all supported desktop operating systems.
Perhaps the biggest new feature in Opera 41 is the improved startup time of the new browser. According to Opera Software, with the new Opera 41 you will notice an improvement of up to 86% in startup times, compared to previous versions.

The improvement in startup time decreases depending on the number of tabs that need to be restored during the application's opening. So for about 10 tabs, the application's startup time is still more than 50% according to Opera Software.
This is achieved with a new priority mode that focuses on loading tabs and the active tab first on startup. All other open tabs in Opera 41 load with a lower priority, the company says.
But apart from the above, Opera 41 also brings two additional improvements. First, the new version promises better battery saving when video conferencing via WebRTC by prioritizing hardware-compatible codecs when available.
Additionally, Opera can limit the number of pixels when in battery saving mode and if possible can reduce CPU usage during the video conference.
