AOC . presented its first virtual reality head-mounted display (HMD) at the gamescom exhibition held2016 in Cologne on August 18-21,
Virtual reality has long been heralded as “the next technological marvel,” but it soon proved impossible to live up to public expectations. However, in 2016, all signs point to its development and the technology behind it being strong enough to make the dream a reality. 
In fact, Goldman Sachs stated, in a report published in January 2016, that virtual reality “has the potential to create a multi-billion dollar industry, and possibly change the world just as computers did in the past.”1.
The potential uses of this technology are as numerous as those of computers and smartphones.Beyond the obvious use, namely in the computer gaming industry (and the military), this technology finds application in the fields of entertainment, live events, education, healthcare, engineering and even retail or real estate.
