Microsoft's Sway document editing app has become much more user-friendly, or rather, end-user-friendly. An updated version of the app lets you create and share your content with your friends to work on it together. The app will allow you to edit files with friends or members of a team. If the idea sounds familiar but foreign to Microsoft, look no further, think Google Docs. Below we describe how easy the upgraded app works.

Starting today, you can share an edit link with a potential collaborator. When someone clicks on it, they will have editing permissions (which you set, of course) on the document, which will appear in their own content list, marked with a symbol indicating that it is a shared file.
This way, both people can work on a document at any time, separately but also simultaneously.
Just like Google Docs, there are signs indicating that others are editing the document with a list of active users, and of course, showing exactly where they are on the document.
As the first administrator of the file, you have the right to revoke access to a file from a user, if you wish.
The Office team also released the ability to copy files in the app, which could be useful if you want to create a template that you can share with others, or create multiple versions of the same document. To copy, simply click the “…” button in the top right corner of the Sway app and select “Copy this Sway.”.
So, let's follow the path set by Google and Microsoft, with small but important additions that will make the Sway much more useful for many users. The new features should be released today.
