With the end of 2014, essentially the milestone period for the advent of DDR4 memories, G Skill is dynamically entering the game, following Adata, Crucial and Corsair, presenting a new quad channel DDR4 memory kit in various capacities and speeds.
Their destination, at least for the first time, is Intel 's High-End Desktop (HEDT) platform with Core i7 "Haswell-E" processors (LGA 2011-3) and motherboards based on the X99 Express chipset . Of course, all kits fully support this platform (XMP 2.0) as well as its quad channel configuration.
In total, there will be 2 basic models released, 16GB (4 x 4GB) and 32GB (4 x 8GB) with a speed of 2400MHz CL15 in different colors (red, blue, black). However, there will also be three more options released, 16GB or 32GB at 2666MHz (also CL15) and 16GB at 3000MHz (CL15 here too).
The operating voltage in all cases does not exceed 1.35 Volts and the warranty offered by the company is of course lifetime. Prices range from €299 for the 16GB and reach €624 for the 32GB at 2666MHz. They are expected to be widely available from next September.
