The DuckDuckGo technical team has just announced that the only search engine that does not use tracking to spy on its users has been redesigned and is now available with a new design.
DuckDuckGo is a search engine like Google. It has been around since 2008 and differentiates itself from the search giant Google in many different ways. After the Snowden revelations about the spying activities of America and Britain, alternatives like DuckDuckGo are considered necessary. DuckDuckGo is an Open Source service. Open source allows control by all developers who wish to work on its development. This means Security. Search Anonymously and get your results Instantly.
According to the developers, the new version of DuckDuckGo aims to offer users better answers for their searches, along with a “more refined look.”
The new DuckDuckGo is still offered as a beta until all possible errors that may occur in the search engine are fixed.
Among the most important new features mentioned by the service's development team, it is worth highlighting that it supports images and automatically suggests websites. Of course, all of this does not come at the expense of the privacy of the service's users.
However, given that the changes are still in beta, DuckDuckGo has some glitches that are expected to be fixed in future updates. Here is a short list of glitches as reported by the developers:
– not all settings work yet and the settings page itself is getting an overhaul?
– not all instant answers work yet and some have not yet been redesigned?
– IE8 is functional although not fully cleaned up yet.
