Google and it looks like this year's edition could be the best we've seen yet.
Because it's already April 1st in Australia and Japan, Google has started rolling out the "latest" build of its Google Maps service, only something isn't quite right.
Google Maps' April Fools' Day prank is having a contest: the "Pokémon Challenge" that requires you to become a Pokémon Master, according to Engadget.
How? You'll need to discover and capture all the creatures to fill your Pokédex, simply by walking around your area on the maps.
To get started, make sure you have the latest version of the Google Maps app for iPhone or Android. But you'll have to be quick, as you'll have until April 2nd to catch them all.
