Microsoft is making improvements to the Xbox One console's controller, due to the high demands placed on it by the developers of the highly anticipated game Titanfall.
It all started when the Titanfall development team expressed a need for a software patch that would make the controller's analog sticks more precise. According to Respawn Entertainment's lead designer for Titanfall, Justin Hendry, to The Verge, his team worked with Microsoft to improve the Xbox One's controls.
Microsoft has since announced that the controller will receive an update in the February update package. The update will be applied automatically when the controller is paired with the console. According to the company, the improvements will increase the sensitivity and accuracy of the controller's buttons and sticks.
In addition to the controller improvements, Respawn Entertainment has stated that it is also working with Microsoft on another upgrade that will convert the image to the full HDTV Standard. However, it has not been clarified whether this upgrade will only affect Titanfall or will apply to all titles released for the Xbox One.
Microsoft is investing heavily in Titanfall, which will be released on March 11th exclusively for PC and Xbox One. It is expected to be released for the older Xbox 360 shortly after. So far, Titanfall has received rave reviews from those who have had the opportunity to play it. It is the first title from Respawn, which is made up of "veterans" from Infinity Ward, which created Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
