Well-known hacker iH8Sn0w announced the discovery of an iBoot exploit that can make all A5(X) devices jailbroken forever!
The A5 processor is used by the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, Apple TV 3G, iPod touch 5G , and iPad mini. The A5X processor is used in the iPad 3.
iH8Sn0w posted the A5's AES keys on Twitter earlier today:

He also mentioned that all AES keys of A5 (X) will be posted here soon.

While the iBoot exploit won't be as good as a bootrom exploit, iH8Sn0w notes that it's so powerful that it should be able to jailbreak all A5 (X) devices untethered forever.
