We are all familiar with the hoaxes and scams that claim that Facebook is going to start charging its users. It seems that the scammers believe that more and more people will fall for their trap, especially if the “wrapping” is good.
A new scam post has appeared on the popular social network that states:
“Please join our campaign. Please share IF YOU are against it. Facebook is planning to charge all its users $1.00 per month to continue using their services starting January 1, 2015. Share this with your friends if you are against this and think it is unacceptable.”
The message is of course fake. Facebook will not charge for its services. It has no need to do so, since it earns a lot from its advertising. After all, Mark Zuckerberg has stated that Facebook is free and will remain free.
