We recently published about the breach carried out by the Syrian Electronic Army on the Viber application website. After the attack, the page was left distorted, displaying the hackers' message "Viber is spying on you and monitoring you". The hackers also leaked some data from the database.
Today, the same group hacked Viber 's account on the Apple App Store website and changed the app's description to "We created this app to spy, Please download it!" According to a post by 9to5Mac, the hack was first discovered by one of their readers, Peter Wells.

The website ehackingnews confirmed the hack after hackers from the Syrian Electronic Army reported taking over the App Store account in the same attack.
