Problems for Google, and this time for a very special reason.
Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood is accusing Google of displaying links in its search results that facilitate the purchase and promotion of illegal substances, such as dangerous over-the-counter drugs, USA Today reports in a publication.
“With this move, Google is putting consumers at risk and facilitating illegal acts.”
This isn't the first time Google has been involved in this kind of thing. Two years ago, the company paid $500 million to settle a charge (again, it involved facilitating the distribution and promotion of over-the-counter drugs) by the U.S. Department of Justice.
