For the PlayStation's birthday, which marked 20 years of existence in the gaming console space, as we wrote last week, Sony Pictures Entertainment released an anniversary edition of the PS4. This edition was limited to 12,300 pieces, which would be distributed in countries around the world and has the colors of the first PS, that light gray, for those who remember.
With a retail price of $500, the package includes a special box, inside which we can find the anniversary PS, the DualShock 4 controller, the PS camera and the vertical stand. All this in a package with a 1994 aesthetic, which complements the PS logo with the rainbow.
The release and sale took place through special stores and within a few minutes all the pieces had already been sold worldwide. In fact, one was sold on eBay for $20,100. Since getting our hands on such a console is somewhat difficult, let's enjoy some photos, and as the CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment America, Shawn Layden, said, "let's go for the next 20 years", while declaring himself very happy not only for the progress of the console and the entire Project, but also because he can be present at such a big celebration, he says in his message on the official PlayStation blog.
The highlight of the celebration was the big event, held on December 6-7 in Las Vegas and dedicated to the PlayStation family. There, fans of the console and gaming enjoyed new add-ons to popular games, reviews of titles that will be released in 2015, and met the teams of manufacturers.
