The PwnZilla Challenge , which started yesterday as a collaboration between the security news website SecNews and the Systems Security Laboratory of the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, is progressing very smoothly! Over 330 Greek Security experts and hobbyists have tried to gain access to the server that has been created for this purpose.
Participants are telecommunications companies, organizations, institutions, banks, as well as private researchers and students who are trying to identify weaknesses and gain access to the server.
So far, according to the information we have from the scientific supervisors of the exercises, Mr. Christos Xenakis , and the technically responsible PhD Candidate of the Department of Digital Systems, Mr.Anastasios Stasinopoulos, NO access has been gained by anyone and no weaknesses have been identified.
Don't be disappointed though, you have 9 full days to carry out the checks you wish at https://attack.secnews.gr/pz1.php
This innovative collaboration between the University of Piraeus and SecNews aims to highlight individual security researchers as well as experts from companies and organizations in Greece.
