iPhone users warned - Security flaw leaves stored files exposed

A German cybersecurity iphone 660 12expert claims to have discovered a security flaw that leaves Apple device owners' emails exposed to the malicious intent of hackers

As money.cnn.com notes, citing the German expert, this security gap is significant and concerns owners of older iPhone and iPad devices more. Ever since Apple devices started to have iOS 4, that is, since 2010, the company assured its customers that their files were protected by an additional safety net, which ensured that when the mobile phone is locked, the attached files of the emails are also locked.

And this, so that in case the mobile is stolen, the thief does not have access to these files. Specifically, these files should appear as letters and numbers that do not make any sense to each other. However, according to Kertz, this is not the case. The files are not encrypted in this way and, in fact, hackers can extract them even if the mobile is locked, by connecting it to a computer and using some software to bypass the password.
