Syntellia is a company founded by Greeks, based in San Francisco, and is making big but steady strides in the technology sector, now competing with real technology giants.

One of its most innovative products is the Fleksy virtual keyboard, which already works in 15 languages, has different layouts, and has already been "downloaded" by users from 205 countries.

This award-winning keyboard for touchscreen devices creates new data in the touch keyboard with a completely different way of operating, as it is the first to be used in a 3D gestures system, the first to work on a smartwatch (Omate) and the first that Apple allowed on iOS.

Ioannis Verdelis, who founded the company with Kostas Eleftheriou in 2011, speaks to FortuneGreece.com explaining “We have already built our name in the market as a major player, and a new technology with good prospects. Of course, we are not resting on our laurels. In the same week that we announce new languages, we have already released three beta versions with a series of improvements. That is the beauty of a startup, to move quickly where larger companies cannot or will not.”

"Two-thirds of downloads are from outside the US," adds Yannis Verdelis, "with countries such as Germany, India, Russia and Italy being in the top ten in number of users."

Although he did not disclose the number of downloads, he emphasizes that Fleksy has much greater growth than any other product in its field. The paid version of Fleksy for Android costs €2.89, but the user can use it for free for a month.

As the hottest product in its field right now, Fleksy is definitely under the microscope of big companies for a possible acquisition. Yannis Verdelis sets other priorities, but without ruling anything out. “We prefer to think about our users, our team and our technology.

Our goal is to build innovative technology and solve one of the biggest problems facing smart devices today. Once we achieve our goals, we will have other thoughts».
