35-year-old Anthony James Lescowitch, who was wanted for an attack that took place in June 2013, was finally arrested by authorities when he was tempted to taunt the police that they could not arrest him.
Police had released a photo of the perpetrator on Facebook in an attempt to gather information that would help identify him. An hour later, authorities released the same photo, saying they had arrested him 45 minutes after posting the photo on Facebook .
When the 35-year-old realized this, he couldn't resist sharing the photo on his profile, taunting the police. After officials realized that the perpetrator had used his account, they decided to approach him through a fake female profile, according to the Times Leader.
The authorities had no difficulty in opening a dialogue with the wanted man through the virtual profile and asked him to meet for a drink, instead of chatting online. The suspect initially refused, but then agreed to meet the… attractive “woman”, who showed particular interest in him.
Once Lescowitch arrived at the meeting place, he was surprised to encounter police officers instead of his new girlfriend. The 35-year-old was arrested without incident and taken to the station.
