Anker has announced a new version of its Soundcore Liberty Pro headphones : the Liberty 5 Pro . These are the company's first headphones to feature the Thus AI audio chip , which boosts noise-canceling capabilities and ensures that the user's voice is heard clearly during calls, even in noisy environments. They are the first new Soundcore Liberty Pro headphones since the 2024 version that launched with a display in the charging case.

Along with the Liberty 5 Pro, a new Max version is also being released that adds AI note-taking capabilities via the charging case.
The Liberty 5 Pro are available today for $169.99 in blue, white, black, and pink. They retain the functionality of the LCD touchscreen on the charging case from their predecessor, but it's now located on the outside for easier access and is slightly larger at 0.96 inches. The touchscreen can be used to adjust ANC levels or enable transparency mode.
The addition of the Thus chip results in a slight reduction in battery life, offering up to 6.5 hours of listening time with ANC enabled, which can be increased to up to 28 hours total when paired with the charging case. However, the AI chip offers improvements, including ANC that is 100% more effective than the Liberty 4 Pro, improved voice clarity during calls by reducing background noise, and faster responses to 20 built-in voice commands.
