This means Gmail users will be able to perform calendar-related actions or answer questions about their calendar, including the following:
- When is my [first event] next week?
- Create a calendar event [30 minutes] for my weekly [yoga class] every [Monday and Wednesday] at [9 a.m.].
- Create an event [1 hour] for [lunch] [tomorrow] at [noon].

Additionally, you can now create calendar events through Gmail using Gemini, as well as get additional details about existing events in your Google Calendar. However, there is a fairly long list of tasks that Gemini in Gmail can't do at the moment:
- Add or remove guests from events, or create events by extracting information from an email.
- Pull attachments or RSVP related to a meeting.
- Find the best time to meet with other people or find time slots when you are available for meetings.
- Create tasks, out-of-office, focus times or set work locations.
- Add or manage meeting rooms.
