Researchers monitor web traffic for signs of malicious activity and try to identify the gangs exploiting vulnerabilities. Since 2021, 537 ransomware attacks, with 150 of those occurring in the last year alone. Nearly 20% of targets are government agencies, followed by healthcare organizations.
