A week after an outage that affected subscribers across the country for hours, the largest wireless carrier in the U.S. is offline again.

According to Downdetector , the number of complaints it received from Verizon customers increased from 24 at 5:51 a.m. ET to 5,119 at 8:21 a.m. ET . The site says this indicates a problem with the wireless provider's service . 76% of the complaints are related to problems Verizon users are experiencing with their mobile phones. 16% are experiencing problems with 5G home internet, and 7% say Verizon's service is offline and has no signal.
It appears that major cities in the US have been affected by the Verizon outage with reports coming from New York and other places such as:
- Phoenix, Arizona
- Chicago, Illinois
- Charlotte, North Carolina
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- Brooklyn, New York
- Los Angeles, California

A Verizon subscriber noted this morning that when making outgoing calls, he heard a recording that said, “Welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call cannot be completed as dialed.” A subscriber in Florida complained that he was unable to make calls and when he tried to make one he heard the same message.
Other wireless companies that use Verizon's network, such as Straight Talk , are also offline.
