Google appears to be working on a useful drag-and-drop feature for the Chrome app for Android. The feature is a staple on the desktop version and is a huge time saver. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that Google would want to bring the feature to Android as well to improve your browsing experience and productivity.

According to MSPoweruser, the drag-and-drop feature is expected to debut in Chrome for Android's developer channel (version 129). When it launches, you'll be able to move files from one location to another in your browser, as well as from your browser to other apps. The feature is expected to be available for testing soon.

MSPoweruser also spotted a change to the Recent Searches that is also in the works. You may be able to see related searches as you type. However, it is not yet clear whether the feature will reach a global release, as is the case with any feature that is in development or testing.

So for now, we don't know when (or if) we'll see these features go live. The first feature is more likely to roll out globally, as it's just a useful feature that there's no reason not to move forward. While it's not a major redesign or something big that will blow your mind, it's definitely something that makes your experience better.

The drag-and-drop feature that Google wants to release in Chrome for Android is a user interface feature that allows users to select and move items in a digital environment using their mouse or trackpad. This intuitive method improves the user experience by allowing seamless interaction with various items, such as files, images, or elements in an application. Users can click and hold on an item, drag it to a desired location, and release it to complete the action. The drag-and-drop implementation involves programming on both the front-end and back-end to ensure that the movement is smooth and the system accurately updates the application state according to the user's actions.
