Samsung has just officially confirmed, albeit unintentionally, that its upcoming premium smartwatch will be called the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The name appeared on (now deleted) support pages for the unannounced wearable on its website. The company will unveil the watch alongside new foldables and other products at Unpacked in July.

The Galaxy Watch series is getting its first Ultra-branded member this year. It's a premium smartwatch that Samsung plans to introduce to compete with Apple. As reported in April, the wearable will be branded as the Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, some sources said it will arrive as the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. This also made sense as Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 alongside this premium model.

That confusion was cleared up by a TDRA certification last month. The UAE government’s regulatory body certified the new watch with the same model number (SM-L705F). It also listed the same marketing name, namely Galaxy Watch Ultra. Now we have official confirmation from Samsung. The company has posted product pages for the upcoming watch on its website along with the name.

Official support pages for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, spotted by 91Mobiles, were briefly posted on Samsung's websites in Canada, Austria, Latin America, and other regions, with some listings specifying the product name along with the model number. The company later deleted the pages, but not before the post could go live and screenshots were available. The deleted listings also confirmed that the watch would only be available in a 47mm size.
