Samsung is set to introduce advanced AI-powered health tracking features to its upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series. These next-generation smartwatches, expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked, likely on July 10, promise a number of innovative health-focused features. Wellness tips will offer insights and guidance to help users achieve specific health goals. The Galaxy Watch 7’s new AI workout routine feature will allow users to combine different workouts into a personalized routine, catering to individual fitness needs and preferences.
Improved sleep tracking with AI
Samsung plans to leverage AI to improve sleep tracking capabilities. This will include tracking movement, heart rate, breathing rate during sleep, and sleep latency, providing a deeper understanding of sleep quality .

Advanced metrics for runners and cyclists
A customizable AI heart rate mode on the Galaxy Watch 7 will offer five levels of running intensity. Additionally, cyclists will benefit from functional power measurements, allowing them to assess performance in just 10 minutes. The new “Race” mode will allow users to track and compare their current and past performances on the same routes.
All of these AI-powered features will be integrated into the Samsung Health app , offering comprehensive health insights as well as encouragement to improve daily wellness. The app will introduce a new “ Energy Score ” section, similar to Fitbit ’s Daily Readiness Score .
The Galaxy Watch 7 series will receive these AI features via the One UI 6 for the Watch series, which is expected to be available later this year.
