In late April, the company FBCS reported that sensitive personal information of approximately 1.9 million people in the US had been compromised in a data breach incident on February 14, 2024.

- Full name
- Social Security Number (SSN)

New data breach notifications have been sent to these individuals, starting on May 29, informing them of the increased risks and actions they should take, albeit with a three-month delay. In addition, recipients of the notifications will receive instructions on how to sign up for a free 24-month credit monitoring and identity restoration service through CyEx.

Individuals affected by the incident are exposed to increased risks from phishing, fraud, and social engineering, so they should be careful with their communications and closely monitor their bank account activity.
The company assures customers that it is now using a separate environment built from the ground up, with stronger security measures to prevent similar breaches in the future.
FBCS did not share details about the nature of the breach this time. At this time, no ransomware has claimed responsibility for the attack.
