Apple has added a new batch editing feature to the Photos app across all its devices – iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The batch edit feature (as we all know it from Photoshop and Lightroom) allows users to copy all the changes (edits) made to one photo and apply them to multiple other photos at once, without even opening them.
The usability of this feature is based on making it easier for users to edit multiple photos at once. This feature is especially useful when you are editing photos taken at the same location and need to make basic edits to all of these photos.

How to edit photos in bulk on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Make sure your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is running the latest operating system and the Photos app is updated to its latest version.
- Open the Photos app and select a photo to edit.
- Make all the changes you want and when you are happy, press “Done” to save them
- Now, in the top right corner, tap the three dots (those little dots in a row)
- Select “Copy Edits”
- Now, you can apply these same changes to other photos:
- Select all the remaining photos you want to edit by clicking “Select” in the upper right corner.
- Then, tap the three dots icon in the bottom right corner.
- Select “Paste Edits.”
- You're done! Your edits will now be added to all selected photos.
What are the best practices for this?
The bulk edit feature works most effectively when all the photos you're trying to apply the edits to were taken in a similar setting or at least during the same occasion.
It works best for basic adjustments rather than deep level adjustments like hue or sharpness, cropping, etc.
