Modder, streamer, and fellow Australian Lance McDonald has confirmed what we all know deep down to be true, even if it's not in the form we'd like: that somewhere, the iconic PS4 exclusive Bloodborne is playable on PC.

McDonald made a discovery that had been in plain sight for years. Marcos Domenech, an environment artist at FromSoftware (who worked on Elden Ring and the upcoming Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon), appears to have contributed an image to the Bloodborne Fandom Wiki, specifically, the Oil Urn Pot.
Using technical skills far beyond our comprehension, McDonald determined that this screenshot was taken from a retail version of the game, not the version used in its development. He describes this process, stating:
"Most artists used the PC build of Bloodborne for their work, but Marcos' screenshots were taken using the actual full retail version of the game running on Windows, not the early build from the 'project beast' era (you can tell by the loading icon in the corner).".

Some fans questioned McDonald's logic, but the artist who uploaded the images, on the Bloodborne Fandom wiki, did so years ago, meaning the PC version has been around for years, but for some reason Sony never released it.
You can check out the rest of McDonald's work for yourself in the Tweet- it's some pretty impressive stuff. As you may know, McDonald previously managed to get Kojima's unplayable horror experience PT to run on an unmodified PS5 and even got Bloodborne to run at 60fps on a modified PS4, among other various feats of technical prowess.
