It's no surprise that Musk will quickly move up to trillionaire status. SpaceX is currently valued at $100 billion after its December 2021 funding round. Plus, his 25% stake in Tesla is also worth a huge amount.
In a new study from Approve, which compared the annual net worth of the world's richest people, statistics have predicted that Musk will soon be a trillionaire. As the trend of Elon Musk's success continues to grow, he is expected to become a trillionaire in 2024.
The Approve report states: “Since 2017, Musk’s fortune has shown an annual average growth of 129% which could potentially see him join the trillionaire club in just two short years, achieving a net worth of $1.38 trillion by 2024 at the age of 52.” It also lists the projects that contribute the most to his income, stating: “SpaceX generates huge revenue by charging government and commercial customers to send various things into space, supply satellites ISS and people.”
The report also said that other tech moguls like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos are not far behind. However, it also noted that Elon Musk's successes have put him in the front row for the trillionaire club. In the past, Approve said: "It was Bezos, not Musk, who a few years ago was expected to become the world's first trillionaire and who is now not expected to join the club until 2030, about six years after Musk.
