Tesla yesterday decided to raise the prices of its Model 3 and Model Y again. This is just the latest small price increase in a long series of increases that have been happening in recent months. As we've reported in the past, Tesla is starting 2021 off a bit strangely when it comes to price changes.

Tesla regularly adjusts its prices, but not as often as it has in the past four months.
In February, Tesla made several changes to the prices of the Model 3 and Model Y, reducing prices in early March and then increasing Model 3 prices in late March.

In April, the automaker raised prices again on all Model 3 and Model Y models, and then again in late April. Last night, Tesla updated prices again, and this is the fourth increase in just over two months.
Tesla Model 3 prices
The price changes are similar to those that occurred two weeks ago.
Tesla's Model 3 Standard Range Plus and Model 3 Long Range AWD are both getting a $500 price increase.
Here are all the prices of the different versions of the Model 3:
- Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus: price increased from $38,990 to $39,490
- Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD: price increased from $47,990 to $48,490
- Tesla Model 3 Performance: price remained the same at $56,990
With these four consecutive price increases, the Model 3 Standard Range Plus, Tesla's cheapest vehicle, has now reached $39,500 from the $37,000 it cost in February.
And the Long Range AWD version has seen a significant price increase from the $46,490 it cost in March.

Tesla Model Y prices
And Model Y prices have been steadily rising in recent months. The latest change again raises the price of the Model Y Long Range AWD by $500.
Here are all the price changes for the Model Y:
- Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD: price increased from $50,990 to $51,490
- Tesla Model Y Performance: price remained the same at $60,990
