What do I do if I forget my Kindle password?
If you forget your Kindle password, you'll need to reset it. This won't affect your Amazon. However, you'll need to sign in again and redownload all of your books.
Since you can't access any of the settings options, there is a special way to reset a locked Kindle:
- On a 6th generation Kindle or later, enter “111222777” as the password, then tap “OK.”.
- On a 5th generation Kindle, type “resetmykindle” as the password, then press the Enter key.
