An IP address identifies a specific device on a network. It may be needed for online gaming or remote access. A Windows 10 computer has an IP address, and there are different ways to find it.

Find your IP address from the Settings menu
You can find your computer's IP address in the Settings.
On the right side of the taskbar, you'll see a group of many different icons. You need the network icon. The icon design will differ depending on whether you're connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Right-click on the icon.
A list of network connections will appear. The network you are connected to will be at the top of this list. Find it and click on “Properties”.
The Settings window will now open and you will automatically be on the settings page for your current connection.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the “Properties” section. Here, you will find your IP address next to “IPv4 address.”

Find your IP address from your control panel
You can also use the Control Panel to find your IP address. In the Windows search bar, type “Control Panel,” and then click the Control Panel app from the search results.
Once it opens, click on “Network & Internet“.
On the next screen, click on “Network and Sharing Center”.
Then, click on “Change adapter settings” in the left menu.
Now, depending on the connection you are using, double-click on “Ethernet” or “Wi-Fi”.
The “ Wi-Fi Status ” (or “Ethernet Status”) window will appear . In the “ Connection ” section, click “ Details .”

Finally, you can find your IP address in the “Network Connection Details” window that appears.
