Android 12’s new wallpaper-based theme system automatically changes the background and accent color of various UI elements across the system. To do this, it picks a dominant color from the current wallpaper and applies it uniformly to elements like the lock screen, quick settings, notification panel, and even added widgets. Earlier this month, we saw evidence that the theme system might also change the background color of Google Assistant.
