As this year's holidays are quite different from previous years, we are forced to adapt to the new reality. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun with our loved ones, even if it's online. Here are some options for organizing your own virtual New Year's Eve party!

1. Zoom
To schedule a Zoom, open the app and use the built-in tool . Fill in the appropriate details, apply any settings you deem necessary, and send the link to the people you want.
2. Google Meet
To organize your Google Meet, open Google Calendar and block out the scheduled event time. Fill in your details in the pop-up window, make sure you have video conferencing , and add everyone's email addresses to the guests section. This will automatically send out email invitations with all the necessary information.
3. House party
If you want to focus more on virtual games, check out the Houseparty as a potential platform. The app limits the number of people to eight per “room,” so it only works for smaller groups. Everyone will have to download the app, and when you add each other as friends, everyone will get a notification every time someone opens the app.
4. Event platforms (OnZoom, Evite)
If you have a more specific activity planned for your evening, consider using an event-specific platform like OnZoom or Evite. These platforms are designed for events, so they will have features like ticketing, event catalogs, and even payments for hosts if you choose to charge admission.
To add a little more interest to the evening, you can set a specific dress code, have everyone choose their favorite drink, or even hold contests that you think of.
