If notifications from an app are bothering you, you can use Notification Center on your Macto turn off notifications for each appimmediately after receiving a notification.

How will you do it?
You can turn off an app's notifications from the notification. This works when you see a notification banner or notification in the top right corner of your screen.
When you see a notification, right-click and select “Disable.” Your Mac will immediately stop notifications from that app.
Alternatively, you can use the Notification Center to do this. Click the date and time from the menu bar to bring up the Notification Center.
Here, you'll see notifications from installed apps. Notifications are grouped by app.
Right-click on a notification and select “Disable” to disable notifications for that application.
Enable app notifications from System Preferences.
If you change your mind, you can turn on notifications for an app from System Preferences. Click the Apple from the menu bar and tap “System Preferences.”
Here, go to the “Notifications” section. From the sidebar, select the app for which you want to enable notifications. Then, click the toggle next to “Allow notifications” to enable notifications for the app.
