Kawasaki Heavy Industries , a Japanese aerospace and defense equipment manufacturer, said that unauthorized access to its servers may have compromised data customer .
According to the company's warning about the potential breach , Kawasaki personnel discovered unauthorized access to a server in Japan on June 11, 2020, from an outside office in Thailand. The company addressed the breach but in the following days discovered several other incidents of unauthorized access. Kawasaki said those breaches originated from other locations in Indonesia, the Philippines and the United States.
It should be noted that was breached data Kawasaki customers'. The company simply wanted to warn of such a possibility, due to unauthorized access, and so it began contacting customers who may have been affected.

In a separate security incident, Kawasaki said it has received reports from people claiming to have received malicious emails. The emails claimed to be from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group in the United States and were looking for new employees.
“If you receive such emails, please thoroughly verify the identity of the sender before deciding to respond,” the company said on website . “There is a risk of your personal information being obtained and misused if you respond to these emails or open attachments .These messages may also be infected with viruses, so we ask you to be especially careful.”
