Despite unsubstantiated claims about the validity of the November election, a group of election officials signed a statement distributed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which is part of the Department of Homeland Security. In it, members of the Executive Committee of the Government Election Infrastructure Coordinating Council (GCC) said that “The November 3 election was the most secure in American history… There is no evidence that were deleted, lost , or altered in any election system. There is also no indication that the systems were compromised in any way.”

The statement comes amid allegations made and made public by some individuals, including President Donald Trump, spreading rumors that are not based on any evidence. The committee's members include the presidents of the National Association of State Election Directors and the National Association of Secretaries of State, which "run" elections at the state level.
According to Reuters, CISA Director Christopher Krebs has said in private conversations that he expects to be fired because of his stance — which supports the integrity of the election results. A CISA website promotes certain rumors , while Krebs has tweeted about some of the “nonsense” claims circulating , and today he retweeted a tweet telling people not to believe baseless claims about the election “even if they come from President Donald Trump.”
