Cryptsy claims it was hacked - millions of Bitcoins lost!

According to an official blog post of Cryρtsy, developer Lucky7Coin has placed an IRC backdoor in the wallet's code, which was able to function as a type of Trojan, or command and control unit.

The issue started a year and a half ago at Cryptsy, but now has come to light, a fact that raises questions such as why customers are not notified immediately and why the company allowed the continued movement of their funds.

Big Vern tried to involve the FBI in the matter, but has received no help from them. The Cryrtsy issue is now being investigated by the US federal court.

Cryptsy owes about 10,000 BTC to its customers and Big Vern has only three ways to solve this problem.

1 Terminate the website's operation and declare bankruptcy, allowing users to submit claims through the bankruptcy process and let the court proceed with the disbursements.

2 Someone else to buy and run Cryptsy.

3 If it somehow manages to regain the stolen funds, then the processing of all withdrawal requests will be allowed.

Big Vern is looking for some help from the leaders of the bitcoin community in order to join an advisory committee for maintaining the operational Cryρtsy.
