Mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich has developed and just released the first version of the Brave browser. The new browser focuses on removing what he considers to be the most intrusive ads.
According to the manufacturer, the new application will not only focus on your personal privacy but will also greatly accelerate your browsing.
Brave will not display ads that use your browsing history for targeting by advertisers. This does not mean that you will see no ads at all, as it will display only a few harmless ones (at the programmer's discretion) to help both visitors and publishers, at least in theory.
“The Brave browser blocks everything: the initial and analytics scripts that start programmatic advertising, the tracking pixels, and the ad-click verification,” says Eich.
Even though it is still very early, you can try the new browser by downloading the installation files from Github. Don't expect surprises, you can simply try it before the official beta release.
Brave currently lacks essential browser features such as preferences, bookmark management, history, or the downloads folder. Obviously we will see more things in the coming weeks.
If you still insist, you can download the version for computers , iOS , or Android from GitHub .
If you still want to wait for a more stable release, you can sign up on the Brave website and you will be notified when the beta version is ready.
